Over the last few decades, the Woodbury FFA Chapter has established itself as one of the top chapters in the state and nation. Our chapter is known for shaping leaders that pursue state and national levels of FFA office and recognition, as well as record-breaking Career Development Event participation and achievement.
Participation in the FFA is a choice, but all students enrolled in the agricultural program are members of the FFA, due to the chapter’s affiliate membership with the organization, and are therefore, strongly encouraged to participate fully in the organization. The Woodbury FFA Chapter gives students a platform to create, lead and connect with their community and each other. About 50% of the Nonnewaug High School population is in the Agriscience Program and the Woodbury FFA.
Our chapter is diverse with students from 14 towns who engage in a variety of activities outside of agriscience. These diverse experiences bring diversity of thought, understanding and empathy to our chapter. We are athletes. We are writers. We are scientists. We are actors. We are individuals with passions that transcend agriculture, but all share an affinity and profound appreciation for it. If you live in one of the following towns, we can’t wait to see what you bring to the future of our chapter:
Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Bethel, Bethlehem, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford, Prospect, Seymour, Southbury, Watertown, Woodbridge, Woodbury
We are Woodbury FFA.
